Today children are on the Internet at home and also at school. Here at Action Communications, we would like to see kids browse safely while having fun with the Internet too, as there are websites that children do not need to view out there. We have a few tips to keep in mind while your child is surfing the net:

Ensure that your kids never give out personal information such as address, telephone number, or the name and location of school without your permission.
Talk with your kids to ensure they know to never agree to get together with someone to "meet" in person without first checking with you. If you agree to the meeting, be sure that it is in a public place and stay with your child.
Get to know the services(MSN, Yahoo, MySpace, Facebook, etc) your child uses. If you don't know how to log on, get your kid to show you how. Find out what types of information it offers and whether there are ways for parents to block out objectionable material.
Talk with your kid and make sure that they understand how important it is for them to stay safe while on the Internet.
